New Year. New You. How can one single day change everything for the new year ahead? Shouldn’t we always be evolving to better ourselves? Goals keep you accountable and intentional.  Resolutions do not.

There are a number of reasons why I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I just don’t keep them. Plain and simple. That’s all. I decided a long time ago that I’m better to set smaller goals through the year that are attainable than to make resolutions that are broad and not specific.

I can’t even tell you the number of times I have made a resolution that didn’t get even as far as my head. And that was part of my problem, it was in my head. The second something else got in my head, the resolution was depleted. Sound familiar?

Tonight I am writing down my GOALS. Again this year, I will be setting smaller goals within certain time frames (important!) for myself that are as specific as I want them to be. So exciting! I want to be able to see it physically and to keep it in the forefront of my mind. As I go throughout my day and through the week, I am mindful of achieving that goal. Statistically speaking, those who write their goals down are more likely to reach their goals than the ones that don’t.

I, personally, have had something on my heart for a very long time: to write more. I have done a lot of it over the years but have never done any more of it because of some crazy thing called fear. Crazy for being crazy? And crazy for being vulnerable. My greatest joy is going to that corner in my mind and drumming up some crazy musical, play or drama and putting it down to word. Those who know me know there’s no spider webs in my mind! Sooooo, currently I am laying out my plan of action, as we speak, and bring it to fruition THIS YEAR. What will you do?

I want to encourage you to go out and BE BOLD. You were created for a purpose. With a gift. Breathe life into that gift. Don’t lose sight of it. Write it down. Do something with it. Because you never know who may reap the benefit from your great accomplishment.

If you want to have something you’ve never had before, you’re going to have to do something you have never done before.

All the best in 2018.     ~ Pam  xoxo

  • An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a
co-worker who had been conducting a little research on this.
And he actually bought me breakfast due to the fact that I stumbled upon it
for him… lol. So allow me to reword this….

Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending time to talk
about this matter here on your web page.

    • Oh man. This is the best comment I have received all day! Yay, so you’re welcome! (Thanks Klara!)
