Our girls do quite a few trips together. This time was no different. They have a ton of fun when they go away so we can be at peace that they have each other. In the meantime, Don and I are home gloating.
The girls have gone away on a big trip. The house much bigger than we’re used to. Cleaner. Perhaps more food in the fridge. Minus the chaos.
Don and I had a great weekend with nothing planned especially after our big party weekend last week. We were up at the usual time around 7:30 on Saturday. Don before me. (I have to “slowly” wake up). We felt no rush since Monday was a holiday. We took Don’s mom to her usual hair appointment for 11 and got home around 2. We mowed grass, weeded, puttered. It was a good day.
We went to church on Sunday, had our son Ben and his lovely wife over. Restful, peaceful. All that on Monday as well.
To say we were more than ready to go back to work on Tuesday was an understatement. The girls are gone and won’t return until Thursday. I will welcome the busi-ness of our home again. In the meantime, we will relinquish in the quietness of our days. Relaxing and enjoying our summer.
