As a young mother, taking care of children and the dredge of daily chores get to you. Then, one day it all comes full circle. Today was one of those days.
Today was going to be a good day. Today Brittany comes home from her long anticipated trip to Punta Cana. Devon and Chanelle got married. Months upon months of planning and anticipation and now, gone like the wind. Congratulations Devon and Chanelle on your new life together! Can’t wait to see you Britt and hear all your wonderful stories.
And this week has been a great week too. Last weekend was Mother’s Day weekend. A day I beam too proudly on. Not just on this day but every morning I open my eyes to a new sunrise, I see my blessings. As a mother, I hold this title in high regard and my children give me every reason to do so.
I don’t know whether it was planned or not but my son and daughter-in-love surprised me and got baptized on Sunday. A step of obedience to proclaim openly their faith in Jesus Christ. A decision that is not required but chosen. A proud moment for sure – you both make us proud.
Thank you Lord for all the good that surrounds me today.
